Looking for that life-changing love
Have you ever experienced a moment that changed your life forever? I have. My name’s Alfino, and I remember it like it was yesterday.
I was eight months old at the time and living all alone on the streets. My fur was home to hundreds of fleas and I had a painful limp. But then a hand reached out. It was one of Soi Dog’s animal rescue officers who happened to live in the same area as me. He brought me into the shelter where my fleas were treated, my limp was corrected with surgery and my life was forever changed.
You can tell I’m appreciative because my whole body wags when I see the people that helped me… or when I see anyone really! I’m a friendly boy by nature.
When I’m not doing my full-body doggie dance, I’m usually relaxing in a tunnel in my run. I like to hang out in there because the cool concrete feels nice on my skin on hot days. To coax me out, you’ll need a handful of treats or the promise of walkies. These are my favourite things.
Although I’m well looked after here at Soi Dog, a shelter is no place for a young, fun-loving boy to stay forever, and I dream of someone whisking me away to a home of my own. Will you be that someone? You could change my life all over again!
