A diamond in the ruff
My personality: Coy and cautious yet sweet and smiley.
My story: My name means “rubber plantation” in Thai, and that’s where Soi Dog’s rescue officers found me – running through a rubber plantation with a severe case of mange that had caused almost all of my fur to fall out. The officers brought me into the shelter where I was treated with medication and special shampoo and given all the love and care I missed out on during my two long years on the streets.
My health: As you can see, my fur has all but grown back now. There are just a few tiny patches here and there reminding me how far I’ve come. To ensure I maintain my splendid sandy-coloured coat in the future, it’s important that I keep nice and clean.
What makes me unique: My handsome doggie eyeliner and my love for grazing on grass.
What I need: I know you’d never guess from my big friendly smile, but I’m a little shy and cautious by nature. And although I’m always keen for walks, I often get overwhelmed once I’m outside. I’m therefore looking for a calm home environment I can thrive in, with quiet (and grassy!) walking areas nearby.
Why you should adopt me: Shyer dogs like me are diamonds in the rough (or should I say “ruff”?) We have so much potential to be wonderful companions yet we’re often overlooked for adoption. Please don’t forget about a sweet boy like me.
